Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Jenna is our Registered Veterinary Technician. She was born and raised in Plaquemines Parish on the Westbank of New Orleans. She graduated from Ursuline Academy High School in 2014 and has worked in the veterinary field ever since. She went on to receive her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree from Delgado Community College in 2017. Jenna is very passionate in her job as an RVT. She strives to provide quality care for each patient and their individual needs and hopes to assure clients that their beloved companions are always in good hands with her as their technician.

We especially love Jenna for her unwavering upbeat attitude and constant smile. She is a perpetual bright light among our staff. Her dedication to her job and our clients’ pets is steadfast, and we know how fortunate we are to have her as a part of our team.

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Stephanie is another Westbank local, born and raised right here in Gretna. She attended Academy of Our Lady for high school and went on to graduate from the Veterinary Technician program at Delgado in 2013, when she became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Growing up, Stephanie had a perpetual soft spot for animals, so she jumped at the opportunity to spend every day caring for animals. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

Stephanie brings many years of experience with her to WVH, and we know just how lucky we are to have such a seasoned RVT working with us! Her experiences have shaped her into a confident, kind, skilled, and well-rounded technician. We are certain that our clients will feel so welcomed by her calm and warm demeanor, and we look forward to everyone getting to see why she’s such an asset to our team.

Raelynn was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana. She currently lives in Metairie with her family. Ever since she was a little girl, she knew she wanted to work with animals as a career path. She has been working in the veterinary field since graduating from high school in 2014. After high school, she went on to receive an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree from Delgado Community College in 2019. Raelynn is currently studying to take her state board license examination to become a registered veterinary technician. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, boyfriend, and her two pets.

Raelynn brings a calm and nurturing presence to WVH. She works very hard, and she is dedicated to making sure our patients have the most peaceful experience they can while in our care.  We love her peaceful presence!

Amy is our newest member of the Westside Veterinary Hospital team. She was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana, where she currently resides with her husband and two young sons. Her love and compassion for animals, as well as the well being of their owners, lead her to the veterinary field in 2010. She has been working as a veterinary assistant and receptionist ever since! When she is not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and their three dogs, in addition to spending time outdoors.

Amy may be a new face at WVH, but we’ve known (and loved) her for several years now. Amy is patient, kind, and always has a smiling face – all qualities we admire her for having, especially as the receptionist on our team. We know our clients are in good hands, whether it be when they call on the phone or when they walk in the door – Amy will always welcome them with open arms!

Veterinary Assistant

Renee is another local gem, born and raised here in Gretna, Louisiana. After graduating high school, Renee went on to get an Associates Degree in General Studies at Delgado Community College. When she entered into the workforce, Renee tried her hand at working in a variety fields. In the end, it was pretty clear to her that working with animals brings her the most joy in life. She especially likes working with animals because she recognizes that every pet has their own personality and their own story for you to learn. Working as a veterinary assistant is a fulfilling job for her because it allows her to help not only the pets in need, but to help their owners as well. Her current goal is to go back to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. When Renee is not at work, she likes to always keep herself busy. Her biggest hobby is playing pool (billiards). She also likes anything outdoorsy – like camping, fishing, or even just a boat ride. She currently lives in Marrero with a beagle named Rocky, a cat named Kitty, and two snakes, Buttercup and Reesecup.

We are so glad that Renee decided to get back into veterinary medicine and join us at WVH. Renee has an unmatched work ethic, and she works hard for our patients and clients all day long. She is ready and willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed, and she is clearly dedicated to giving each of our patients the best clinic experience possible. Her hard work shows every single day!

Beth was born and raised in Terrytown, Louisiana. It wasn’t until she and her husband moved into Gretna that she knew she had to work at Westside Veterinary Hospital. Her love for animals stems from always watching Animal Planet as a child. She knew from a very young age that animal care and conservation were her passions. Her life aspiration is to one day travel to Australia and visit Steve Irwin‘s wildlife conservation park! She has been working in the veterinary field as a receptionist and veterinary assistant since graduating from the University of New Orleans in 2014. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and listening to music.

Beth comes to WVH loaded with experience – and it shows! We love her warm attitude, and we know our clients will, too. She is welcoming and so easy to talk to, not to mention extremely knowledgeable when it comes to veterinary medicine! We could not have asked for a more perfect fit to join our exceptional team.
